Shifts Occurring in the #MEMS Competitive Landscape

Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) chips are still growing by leaps and bounds, but the market categories are shifting according to iSuppli. Look for further shifts in the MEMS competitive landscape as application expand in to new consumer, industrial and military applications over the rest of the decade. R.C.J.

HP still on top, but the MEMS competitive landscape is changing says iSuppli which has just released its competitive analysis for 2010. The report screens the revenue of almost 150 MEMS manufacturers—98% of the market—by device and application for the years spanning 2006 to 2009, showing how shifts in market segments were induced by the crisis in the competitive landscape at the end of 2008 and in the second half of 2009.
